Thanks to new Board member, Dan Bockmier, the private HOA website is now available for residents to join.
Access to the site will require residents to register. When you click on the link below, you will see “Register” in the upper right hand corner. Provide your contact information, and you will receive an email approving your qualification once a Board member has reviewed your details.
* Searchable HOA documents
* Electronic version of the monthly Neighborhood Newsletter
* Community Calendar
* Community Surveys
* Community Classified Ads
These are early days, so please be patient as Dan and his team develop the site. He will be available to answer questions about the new website at the annual HOA meeting on April 5th.
NextDoor is a great way for neighbors to share information, alerts, items for sale, recommendations and other useful neighborly advice. It is entirely safe and is growing in popularity, especially in senior communities. So far 35 people have accepted the invitation on this website to join their Temelec neighbors on NextDoor, bringing the total number of Temelec residents on NextDoor to 95. In addition to Temelec, you also have the option of sharing with 188 residents of Creekside and many residents of nearby Sonoma communities.
The HOA Board has requested that temelec.org not be used for alerts and HOA business, so even more reason to join NextDoor to stay informed on a timely basis.
Just click on the link below and you can join for free.
Now you can check out the activity on the plaza from anywhere in the world. Go to http://livefromsonoma.com/ for a live view from the webcam there.
Robert Young, the qigong teacher, is back in town after his long, well deserved get-away. It sounds like he had a wonderful time and is ready to start up the one hour classes at Temelec again!
The classes are open to all. The location is Temelec Hall. The time is 11:00 AM every Monday starting 11/10/14.
Please let anyone else who might be interested in attending the class know about this update. This class is always open to beginners. There are chairs available if someone needs to sit down. It is a great way to gently work the body and brain together in a safe way.
There is a $3. charge per person for the class.
This fun pumpkin is thanks to Linda Kerwin and her family.

I recently received this very interesting letter from Joseph Kissane, who is a distant relative of Colonel William Kissane Rogers, second owner of Temelec Hall. Here is a link to the article that Mr. Kissane has very kindly shared with us. Please contact him if you have additional information about this fascinating man, or simply to thank him. Click on the link below to read the article, now with illustrations.
William Kissane Rogers Journal Version
To the Temelec Website: I came upon your newsletter as Temelec was witness to a significant part in the history of William Kissane Rogers, a man who is of great interest to me. While the articles in the newsletter related to William Kissane Rogers are largely accurate in representing his character, I would like to offer this article I prepared on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the man’s death. It is probably beyond the length that would be useful for your newsletter but it might be something to have if residents of the area are interested in the history of this remarkable person. I would also ask that you treat this article as my intellectual property, as I have invested a great deal of effort into the re-discovery of the life and times of William Kissane Rogers. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions in this regard.
Sincerely, Joseph Kissane Chicago, IL
