I came across a great resource to help anyone who needs a little help with their computer or other new technology. It’s a website run by a man called David Cox. There you will find many video tutorials on popular topics. No catch, absolutely free. Go to http://pcclassesonline.com/ to see all the courses.
Here is a good one on how to use an iPad.

You may also include one photo if appropriate. Provide contact information so that people respond to you and not to the website. Also, please be aware that these ads will be on the web for everyone to see!

There is now a section on the website for neighborhood classified ads. These are ads from RESIDENTS of Temelec who wish to inform their neighbors of items for sale, etc. Inclusion is at the discretion of the editor of the website (Francesca) and we accept no responsibility for the accuracy of the content of the ads. Each ad will run for one month, then be removed unless a request is made to continue for another month. This is something of an experiment, but there seems to be a need to share this sort of information.
If you wish to be included in this section, please send your brief ad in an email to Francesca at TemelecWeb@gmail.com. You may also include one photo if appropriate. You need to provide contact information so that people do not respond to the website. Also, please be aware that these ads will be on the web for everyone to see!

This month the services page that is included quarterly in the Smoke Signals is now available on the website. Go to the Services tab https://temelec.org/services. Click on any image to expand the view. These are paid ads and are not endorsed by the HOA or website.
Every now and then, a product comes along that is so good you want to share it with your neighbors. This week, Radio Shack has a sale on the Vtech Careline Home Phone that has a safety pendant that you can wear around your neck at all times. There are no monthly fees or contracts. The pendant has a simple button to dial for help, plus voice-activated dialing and a speakerphone. Many Temelec residents who live alone might be interested in this.
Radio Shack has it on sale for $99 this week, a $20 savings. You can also find it on Amazon for $108 by clicking http://tinyurl.com/m2obzb8
Here’s a video describing the product. If you have trouble viewing it in the email, find the video at http://youtu.be/LL35H65u58o
